Another Walk

Last Wednesday (10/6), I had taken another walk and mapped it out from memory. While using the same process I have been using to remap the route and retrace my thoughts, I decided to start taking pictures while I walk. The photographs so far have been of things I thought appeared interesting, things that reminded me of something, or both. The photos may be used as raw materials for other things, or I may just use them as a form of recording. Below are the mapped routes and some of the raw photographs from the walk:

I also have the journal I had written following this walk, which I will post here.

Journey #6
1.21 miles
23:34
Weather: Sunny but chilly.
Hardie. Music making me feel like a badass. Part of Cabot street. Crazy car in front of new dorms/City Eats. Thinking of Supremacy. Road work signs. Bunch of kids in front of Organic Cafe. Ran into Isaiah in front of laundromat. Chatted for a bit about gallery stuff. Weird dude watching whole convo. Turned around and decided to backtrack. Went down some familiar roads. Sidewalks raised by tree roots. Thinking of when Lyndsey and I used to take walks to the circle on her street. Lots of houses. One with cool shadows from spinning bike lawn ornament. Felt like old animation where the pictures are in this circle. Guy looking like a whole Jimmy Kimmel if he was a chain smoker glaring at me. I start walking super fast. Everything a blur for a bit. Slowed down when I felt better. Cool house filled with tons of stuff I can see through windows. Top floor reminds me of Peter Pan when he flies through the window. Also reminds me of grandparents (mom’s side) because they had room in house painted pink with Disney characters all over it. Tree further down road looks like it’s bleeding. Fire hydrant (?) painted white with a simplistic tree on it. Looks like a note in Slenderman. Halloween’s soon, so that’s probably why it’s on my mind. Construction guys. Shopping cart near building. Tons of noise and chaos. Ambulance speeds down Cabot Street. I see Len cross the street (Hey Maaahn!). Rest of walk uneventful.
