Let your fingers do the walking

On one of my last walks, I found a phone book on Chapman Street. As I've been walking, I've been keeping track of the routes, my thoughts and memories, etc. I'm considering this phone book "raw material" for other work to develop. Found materials would be something to consider moving forward with my walks.

Some of the pages of the book had interesting details, notes, and damage. I began to overlay pages on top of one another to see what would happen. Some narratives already existed in this book, while others arose from how I overlaid the pages. Some pages reminded me of other things too, like my experiences at the gallery, at school, and in my hometown (Haverhill). Attached below is an example of the (rough) hieroglyphs of sculptures I tried to draw from memory.
